Untitled Post

Ok, first of all, about the title....Chris Rice has a song called "Untitled Hymn", so why can't I have a blog post called "Untitled Post"? This is one of my all-time favorite songs! Here are the words for those of you who don't know it:

Chris Rice - Untitled Hymn (Come To Jesus) Lyrics

Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden's lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain, so
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby
Don't be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain, then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side, and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live!

Every time I hear this song, it makes me cry! It is pretty much the whole Christian life condensed into 3 minutes and 49 seconds. It starts at the beginning when we, as weak, sinful people, first come to Jesus. Then it goes through meaningful times in our lives, such as trials and joy; eventually ending with a new beginning!

I guess I wrote about this particular subject tonight because I have been thinking about all the people that come through Hope City. Every person is at one of these stages in life, some not knowing that my Jesus can be their Jesus too! I can only pray that I will be able to live the verses to this song in my life, and be an example to everyone that I come in contact with. Someday we can all dance with Him!!

Hebrews 9:14
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

1 Peter 1:3
[ Praise to God for a Living Hope ] Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
